Overview

The project involved a new 28,000-square-foot Administration Building for the Water Reclamation District. GBA provided LEED consulting, building energy modeling, and fundamental and enhanced commissioning. The project achieved LEED Silver certification.

LEED Consulting and Commissioning

Energy-saving features include:

  • Water-source heat pump with heat rejection to wastewater
  • Advanced daylighting
  • Optimized building envelope
  • Recovery of biogas for on-site power generation

Projected savings of the design are 35% vs. conventional construction. About 20% of the site’s energy needs are met with recovered biogas.
