GBA Promotes Five Engineers

GBA News

GBA’s Chicago regional office promoted three staff members in July, and the Milwaukee regional office has promoted two in the past several months.

  • Todd Soukup, PE, LEED AP BD+C, was promoted to Associate.
  • Jordan Martin, PE, LEED AP, was promoted to Associate.
  • Shawn Campbell was promoted to Senior Project Engineer.
  • Man Watson was promoted to Project Engineer (promoted October 2020).
  • Corey E. Sweeney was promoted to Project Engineer (promoted June 2021).

Todd Soukup joined GBA’s Evanston, IL, office in 2014. He graduated with a BS in Architectural Engineering from the Milwaukee School of Engineering in 2005, and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Illinois. He is both a mechanical and plumbing engineer and provides a variety of engineering and project management services for clients in the industrial, commercial, healthcare, institutional, and residential sectors, including new construction as well as renovations and adaptive reuse.

Jordan Martin became a member of the Evanston office in 2015. He graduated from the University of Evansville in 2002 with a BS in Electrical Engineering and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Illinois and Texas. Jordan is an experienced electrical engineer and project manager and has wide experience in multiple market sectors, particularly in healthcare, labs, data centers, and higher education.

Man Watson joined GBA’s Wauwatosa branch in 2014. He is a 2010 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and holds the BS in Electrical Engineering; he is a Master Electrician and Commercial Electrical Inspector in Wisconsin. Man has diverse project experience and has most recently been focused on pharmaceutical projects for AbbVie.

Corey E. Sweeney was hired by the Wauwatosa branch in 2017, shortly after he graduated from the University of Wisconsin with his BS in Mechanical Engineering. His experience includes commercial, healthcare, laboratory, and institutional projects, particularly for Verizon Wireless and AbbVie.

Shawn Campbell, a 2011 Bachelors of Architectural Engineering graduate from Milwaukee School of Engineering, joined GBA’s Evanston office in 2018.  Shawn is responsible for electrical engineering design and electrical systems commissioning projects for multiple facility types, including commercial, healthcare, higher education, laboratory, and senior living facilities.  

GBA congratulates these team members for their valuable ongoing contributions to the firm, which specializes in energy and resource consulting for large, energy-intensive facilities as well as mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and medical/specialty gas design services; commissioning, retro-commissioning, and monitoring-based commissioning; energy and resource benchmarking; energy conservation studies; MEP infrastructure planning and upgrades; LEED and Green Globes consulting; and computerized building modeling. Founded in 1973 in Evanston, IL, the company also has offices in Wisconsin (Madison, Wauwatosa), Florida, and the New York metropolitan area (Hoboken, NJ).
