G/BA’s Chicago and Milwaukee regional offices promoted three staff members in July.
- Christopher Sbarbaro, P.E., CPD, GPD, LEED AP BD+C, was promoted to Project Manager.
- Nathaniel Powers, P.E., was promoted to Project Manager.
- Samuel Schmidt, E.I.T, was promoted to Project Engineer.
Chris Sbarbaro joined G/BA’s Evanston, IL, office in 2015. He graduated with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2003, and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Illinois. He is responsible for design and commissioning of plumbing, fire protection, and specialty/medical gas systems for new and existing facilities in multiple market sectors. Chris is currently the President of the Chicago Chapter of the American Society of Plumbing Engineers. He received the group’s 2020 Director’s Award for his outstanding leadership, mentoring, and community service.
Nathaniel Powers became a member of G/BA’s Wauwatosa, WI, office in 2014. Nate graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2012 with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in both Wisconsin and Illinois, and is responsible for designing power, voice/data, lighting, lightning protection, grounding, and fire alarm systems. Nate is proficient in AutoCAD, Visual, and SKM.
Samuel Schmidt joined G/BA’s Evanston, IL, office in 2017 after working for the firm as a summer intern in 2016. He graduated from Marquette University in 2017 with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, and is an Engineer-in-Training in Illinois. Sam focuses on commissioning and retro-commissioning work for clients in multiple sectors, including healthcare, higher education, and laboratory.
