GBA Green Team Embarks on Chicago Green Office Challenge

GBA News

Our Green Team, which coordinates in-house sustainability efforts, has launched planning for its participation in Round 4 of the Chicago Green Office Challenge.

G/BA’s efforts last year achieved Top 20 status in the competition, which engages sustainability-minded firms in the Chicago metro area. Firms gain points through activities in the categories of energy, water, waste, purchasing, transportation, outreach, and innovation. Employees also can earn points for their firms through individual activities, such as installing programmable thermostats or water-conserving fixtures at home. The competition uses online software and a game-style interface that allows participants to track their status on a leaderboard.

More than 150 businesses and 1,000 individuals participated in Round 3. This year’s round will continue through April 2015.
