ASHRAE Names Fiona Martin a Regional LeaDRS Participant

ASHRAE has accepted G/BA Senior Project Engineer Fiona Martin (P.E., QCxP, BEAP, LEED O+M) as a participant in its Regional LeaDRS (Leadership Development Through Regional Support) program.

LeaDRS participants shadow current ASHRAE Directors and Regional Chairs (DRCs) at selected Society events to learn new skills and gain a better understanding of the inner workings of the Society at the Executive and Board Levels. The selective program is designed to prepare members of the Young Engineers in ASHRAE (YEA) for service as regional leaders.

Martin’s current work with ASHRAE consists of local chapter activities, including chairmanship of the Student Activities Committee, programming for the Illinois Chapter’s Technology Awards and Holiday Party, and participation in the YEA group. She is a mechanical engineer specializing in energy efficiency and sustainable design work, encompassing studies, LEED consulting, commissioning, and retro-commissioning projects.
