ASHRAE Region VI honored two GBA team members at its recent Chapters Regional Conference.
Project Manager Fiona Martin McCarthy, PE, QCxP, BEAP, LEED AP O+M, received the Presidential Award of Excellence – Special Citation, as well as the Chapter Service Award. She has recently served as President of the Illinois Chapter of ASHRAE and the Chapter Board of Governors, and will begin a term as Region VI Vice Chair for Membership Promotion on July 1. She also sits on the ASHRAE Society Nominating Committee as an Alternate. Fiona’s activities with the group also have included service as the Chapter History Chair and as coordinator of the chapter’s annual holiday party and awards ceremony, as well as participating in Women in ASHRAE and the YEA Group.
Associate David Eldridge, PE, BEMP, BEAP, HBDP, LEED AP BD+C, was recognized with the YEA at Heart Award, for his continued activity with the YEA Group. David’s other recent ASHRAE activities include serving as a voting member on Technical Committee 7.6 (Building Energy Performance) and TC 9.6 (Health Care Facilities). He is also a member of the ASHRAE Epidemic Task Force healthcare team, and was a co-chair of ASHRAE’s Alternate Care Sites Task Force, which produced the Alternate Care Site HVAC Guidebook.
