GBA Named Certified Commissioning Firm by BCxA

GBA News

The honor places the firm in a small group of companies with an outstanding proven track record in commissioning work.

The Building Commissioning Association’s Certified Commissioning Firm designation demonstrates “the highest standards for professional commissioning firms,” according to the BCxA. Organizations “stand out among their competitiors for the desire and ability to provide the highest quality product to potential clients and the commitment to the advancement of the commissioning industry.”

To become a CCF, a firm must:

  • Have been providing commissioning services for a minimum of 24 months
  • Employ at least one Certified Commissioning Professional (CCP)
  • Provide three completed commissioning projects with client references
  • Be approved after review of materials by the Building Commissioning Certification Board

G/BA now joins just 20 other companies in the U.S. and Canada that have received the CCF designation. Maintaining the certification requires an annual renewal process.

Congratulations to our lead commissioning principal John Villani, CCP, and to all our Cx and RCx engineers, who have helped develop G/BA’s commissioning specialization over the past 15 years.
