Grumman/Butkus Associates has promoted five of its professional engineering staff to new positions.
Promoted to Vice President was former Associate Vice President John Tsingas, P.E., LEED AP, DCEP. Eric Peyer, P.E., LEED AP, was promoted from Project Manager to Associate. Former Senior Project Engineer Eric Rosenberg, P.E., LEED AP, is now Project Manager. Inna Gorelik and Natalia Dankanich, both previously Designers with the firm, were promoted to Engineer.
John Tsingas joined G/BA in 2007. His responsibilities include project management and HVAC system design for new and existing facilities; energy and feasibility studies; and systems troubleshooting. His experience spans nearly three decades of a variety of project types, including healthcare, higher education, commercial, data centers, laboratories, and cultural facilities. Many of his projects involve tight temperature and humidity control requirements. Tsingas holds an MBA from the University of Illinois, an MSME from Georgia Institute of Technology, and a BSME from Aristotelian University of Thessaloniki in Greece. He is a member of ASHRAE and the City of Chicago Mechanical Code Committee.
Eric Peyer, a member of the G/BA team since 2002, holds MSAE and BSAE degrees from The Pennsylvania State University. He has broad mechanical engineering and project management expertise, with a particular focus in central plant work and in MEP design for healthcare and higher education facilities. Peyer, a member of ASHRAE, has also done projects for major commercial companies, including large office campuses and data centers.
Eric Rosenberg joined G/BA in 2011. He has mechanical design experience on a breadth of project types, including healthcare, higher education, hospitality, and manufacturing plants, as well as extensive experience in noise and vibration control for acoustically demanding buildings and complexes, such as theaters. Rosenberg holds an MSME degree from the University of Texas at Austin, and a BSMS&E from the University of California-Berkeley. He is a member of ASHRAE.
Inna Gorelik has been part of the G/BA team since 2000. She holds a BS in Structural Engineering and an Associate in Architecture degree, both from the Belarusian National Technical University in Minsk (formerly the Byelorussian Polytechnic Institute). Her mechanical engineering work encompasses multiple facility types, including large commercial office buildings, medical centers, laboratories, transportation facilities, hotels, and higher education.
Natalia Dankanich joined the firm in 2002. Her Bachelor’s of Mechanical Engineering degree was earned at the Ukrains’ka Akademija Drukarstva, Lviv, Ukraine. Her projects emphasize plumbing and fire protection engineering for healthcare, laboratory, higher education, commercial, and hotel projects.
G/BA congratulates these team members for their valuable ongoing contributions to the work of the firm, which specializes in energy and resource consulting for large, energy-intensive facilities as well as mechanical, electrical, and plumbing/FP design services, commissioning, retro-commissioning, energy and resource benchmarking, energy conservation studies, MEP infrastructure planning and upgrades, LEED consulting, and computerized building modeling. Founded in 1973 in Evanston, IL, the company also has offices in Wisconsin and the New York metropolitan area.
