Fiona Martin McCarthy leads the firm’s retro-commissioning and energy team. Her project experience is in energy efficiency and sustainable design, working on energy and resource benchmarking; energy and decarbonization studies; LEED and EPA consulting; infrastructure and capital planning; commissioning, retro-commissioning, and monitoring-based commissioning with a focus on healthcare, laboratory, higher education, and high-rise commercial sectors.
Fiona is a licensed Professional Engineer in Illinois and a LEED Accredited Professional. She has earned the Qualified Commissioning Provider designation from the University of Wisconsin and the Building Energy Assessment Professional certification from ASHRAE. She has held various offices within ASHRAE, including the presidency of the Illinois chapter and offices at the Regional and Society levels.
Outside of work, Fiona is wrangling her three young children, adventuring on their cargo bike to the beach, and in pursuit of new parks and ice cream.
