John Villani Honored With BCxA President’s Award

Awards

John Villani, P.E., CCP, CEM, LEED AP, has been honored by the Building Commissioning Association (BCxA) with its President’s Award.

Presented in conjunction with the group’s recent Annual Conference, the award is given to a BCxA member who has made a significant contribution through committee participation or other activities. John is shown second from the right in the photo above, which also includes (left to right) current BCxA President Tom Poeling; John’s wife, Nancy;  and Liz Fischer, the group’s Executive Director. (The award was presented at a “1920s Chicago” themed dinner, complete with costume hats.)

John, VP at G/BA and head of commissioning for the Chicago and New York regional offices, served as President of the BCxA’s Central Chapter in 2014-15 and as President of the international Board of Directors in 2018. He also nurtured the group’s popular TechTalks series, and has been involved in many other aspects of the BCxA’s development as a professional organization.

G/BA congratulates John for his leadership in the commissioning profession, which is recognized by this honor. He is the firm’s second President’s Award recipient, after Wisconsin Chairman Jeff Conner (2017).
