Grumman|Butkus Associates Celebrates Earth Day

G/BA’s Evanston office enjoyed their annual celebration of Earth Day (April 22) with a number of fun events.

The day’s events included a lunchtime staff potluck featuring a presentation by Hal Sprague, Water Policy Manager with the Center for Neighborhood Technology.  Mr. Sprague’s presentation was entitiled “Stormwater Management in Northeast Illinois”.  Later in the day, the staff enjoyed a “sustainable happy hour” featuring wines classified as sustainable and home brewed beer from five G/BA home brewers.  A prize was awarded to the brew selected as favorite by the staff.  The afternoon included a Haiku writing contest with Haiku themes of Earth Day, G/BA, or sustainability. Staff in all offices received a new G/BA logo water bottle as an Earth Day gift.
