GBA’s Evanston Office 2-Year Purchase of 800,000 kWh of Renewable Energy Credits

This purchase helps to save up to 895,088 lbs. of CO2. These Renewable Energy Credits (RECs) represent a portfolio of 100% wind power generated in midwest states that displaces the high carbon output of coal-fired power generation.

These Renewable Energy Credits (RECs) represent a portfolio of 100% wind power generated in midwest states that displaces the high carbon output of coal-fired power generation.  The quantity purchased covers approximately two years of G/BA’s electric energy consumption.  All REC’s are Green-e certified, which means that they comply with consumer protection and environmental standards for renewable energy credits.
