Plumbing/Fire Protection Engineer

Minimum Responsibilities
In this role, you will work with and be mentored by experienced engineers and will yourself help to mentor designers. Your initial assignments will include:
- Designing/drafting for projects
- Performing load calculations
- Determining system sizing and layouts
- Calculating equipment sizes
- Selecting equipment
- Completing field surveys
- Reviewing equipment shop drawings.
- As you gain project experience, you will take on a greater role in leading piping/plumbing/fire protection assignments, writing specifications, participating in project meetings with clients and other consultants, and supporting construction-phase and/or commissioning work.
Qualifications
What You Will Need to Succeed
- Associate degree or BSME/BSAE from ABET accredited school.
- Minimum GPA of 2.5.
- EIT certification (Passed the FE exam) a plus.
- ASPE CPD or CPDT a plus.
- MEP consulting engineering field experience preferred.
- Intermediate to advanced user of AutoCAD and/or REVIT software.
- Fundamental knowledge of building systems.
- Proven experience in at least one discipline such as plumbing, fire protection or medical gas piping systems.
- 3 to 10 years experience designing building plumbing systems.
