MECHANICAL/HVAC DESIGN PROJECT ENGINEER

Minimum Responsibilities
In this role, you will initially work with and be mentored by experienced engineers. Your initial assignments will include:
- Designing/drafting for projects
- Performing load calculations
- Determining system sizing and layouts
- Calculating equipment sizes
- Selecting equipment
- Completing field surveys
- Reviewing equipment shop drawings.
- Coordinating your work with other design disciplines (Electrical/Plumbing/FP).
- As you gain project experience, you will take on a greater role in leading design assignments, writing specifications, participating in project meetings with clients and other consultants, and supporting construction-phase and/or commissioning work.
Qualifications
What You Will Need to Succeed
- BSME/BSAE from ABET accredited school.
- EIT certification (Passed the FE exam) a plus.
- Internship experience in the MEP consulting engineering field preferred.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency with AutoCAD and/or REVIT software.
- Fundamental knowledge of building systems.
- 5 to 10 years experience designing building HVAC systems in technically sophisticated buildings.
