Jeffrey K. Conner, PE, LEED AP, CCP, BCxP, has retired from daily duties with GBA's Wisconsin team as of July 31.

Jeff joined GBA in 1981 as a mechanical engineer in the Illinois office. In 1984, he founded and incorporated GBA's first Wisconsin office in Wauwatosa; he served that organization as President and Managing Principal until 2002. That year, he became Chairman of the Wisconsin corporation: a title he retains. He will continue to be on contract for professional engineering services for the Wisconsin operation.

Jeff's career has focused on mechanical building systems analysis, energy management, design, and commissioning services, for both new and existing buildings. He developed energy management programs for multiple corporations, including more than 3,200 buildings; was principal-in-charge of commissioning projects encompassing $525 million in construction and existing building/retro-commissioning projects encompassing 16.5 million square feet of space in the past six years; and was principal-in-charge of hundreds of building systems designs. Jeff provided engineering consulting services to governmental, hospital, hotel, laboratory, pharmaceutical, telecommunications, and higher education clients during his career.

Jeff served on the Board of Directors of the Building Commissioning Association (BCxA) from 2010 through 2015, was past chairman of the BCxA's Professional Development Committee (2007-2009), later served as Chairman of the group's International Committee. In 2017, he was honored with the BCxA's prestigious President's Award for significant contributions to the group. Jeff is a Life Member of ASHRAE, and a member of the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE), Florida Healthcare Engineering Association (FHEA), and National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE). Jeff is a registered professional engineer in 11 states.

GBA congratulates Jeff on this milestone and expresses its gratitude for his many years of exemplary service extended to the firm's clients, as well as his significant contributions to the engineering profession.
