Big Ten & Friends Conference Includes G/BA Speakers
Grumman/Butkus Associates' Chairman Dan Doyle and President Chad Luning will join two of the firm's key higher ed clients for presentations at the Big Ten & Friends Mechanical & Energy Conference, to be held in Champaign, IL, from Sunday, Oct. 9, to Wednesday, Oct. 12.
The event features a trade show, presentations, and networking opportunities, focused on mechanical, operations, and energy topics for higher education facilities.
- Doyle will speak on Monday at 1 p.m. with Vytenis Milunas of the University of Illinois at Chicago on the topic of "How to Reduce Energy Usage in Labs by up to 50%." The talk will include lessons learned from lab projects done by G/BA at UIC.
- Luning and Charles Davidson of Northwestern University will speak on Monday at 2:40 p.m., covering "Modeling Utility Infrastructure Systems to Facilitate Maintenance." A live demonstration of NU's extensive GIS (geographic information system) will be featured.
